Ranking system in odisha state badminton assoviation

1.      OSBA RANKING SYSTEM

1)      The OSBA Rankings are lists of the players / pairs in order of strength as calculated using points-based system in line with BAI RANKING SYSTEM(Badminton Association of India).

2)      The Rankings are derived from OSBA-sanctioned tournaments (except invitational tournaments, tournaments played in pooled system and team events - for the time being) held during the previous 52 week period. The ranking for the Juniors shall be in the age groups viz. Under 19 years, Under 17, Under 15 years  and Under 13 years.

3)      The Star Rating /Grade of the tournaments are decided by OSBA, based on the facilities provided. However, State Championships for Seniors are considered as 7*(Seven Star) and State Championships for Juniors are considered as 5* (Five Star) tournaments.

5)      The points awarded to a doubles pair will be divided equally between the partners, which will determine the Individual Doubles Ranking Points.

6)      The sum of the Individual Doubles Ranking Points of the partners will decide the seeding of a Tournament.
