STATE RANKING CHAMPIONSHIP FROM 11TH TO 13TH MAY 2018 AT BHUBANESWAR

The state ranking championship organised by Smartcity Badminton Asociation under the auspious of Orissa State Badminton Association concluded successfully at SAI academy ,Bhubaneswar.

We congratulate and thanked  the organiser,players,parents,media people,SaiAcademi-Bhubaneswar for supporting us in conduct of championship

We have experimented one format where the players are played in league after prequarter final.So there was a competition among top eight players.

We have a growth oriented intention because:

• ·        Players can compete among themselves to keep themselves into top position without any ifs and buts
• ·        There was no issue of placement in fixture like knockout system.
• ·        The players endurance can be judged
• ·         The player will play with different opponents with different strategy to win the matches
• ·         For transparency we are using the software for the purpose

But we failed in our objevtive because

• ·         Players did not gave their best effort.
• ·         Players  fixes the match  with opponent  for contributing points to opponent as they have higher points
• ·         Players could not able to know the reason of failure to come to the  top.They are not analysing their  game for the success/failure instead finding scapegoats to blame.

We request players to come up with their best to identify in National/International level.We will support you with our best effort.

 We are giving below the details as an example to clear the doubts among players/parents/coaches

In womens singles league the position comes out like 1. Shruti Swain-cuttack

                                                                                                         2.Yashshree Samal-Bhubaneswar

                                                                                                        3.Purba Pratyusha Panda-Sambalpur

ALL the above players  won 6 matches out of 7. But  Shruti defeated from yashshree, yashashree defeated from purba, purba defeated from shruti. 

Purba defeated from  shruti and shruti defeted from yashshree, in that situation yashshree come up.

Shruti deafted from Yashshree and yashshree defeated from purba in that situation purba comes up.

Yashshree defeated from purba and purba defeted from shruti  in that situation shruti comes up.

In the above case the Tournament Software catches the Score of the player how much they have taken from the opposite player in every matches of their ties in this event as the results comes as follows

Shruti  total points took 203 and gave to opponent 133, difference 70

Yashshree  total points took 209 and gave to opponent 142, difference 67

Purba  total points took 202 and gave to opponent 149, difference 53

By which the software took the position in the league.

In boys singles league the position comes out like 1. Aditya Karan Dash-Kenonjhar

                                                                                                         2.Nandish Poddar-Sambalpur

  ALL the above players  won 6 matches out of 7. But  nandish defeated from aditya.

In that situation even if  the Score of the player how much they have taken from the opposite player in every matches of their ties in this event  does not matter because this situation in between these two players as Aditya defeated Nandish with  a score 30-26.

For which aditya comes to position 1 and nandish comes to position 2.

By which the software took the position in the league.
