Sambalpur Badminton Association is going to conduct a "Talent Hunt" programme from December 1st,2015. The programme is the brain child of Sambalpur District Collector Shri Balwant Singh,IAS under his active guidance this 20 day programme is being executed by SBA. Over 2000 kids(5 yrs to 11 yrs) from over 108 Govt & Public Schools from Sambalpur city limits are participating in this programme and out of this about 100 childrens will be selected and regular badminton coaching will be imparted to them on a regular basis to groom their badminton talent.This programme was finalise during last state championship organised at Sambalpur with support from Orissa state Badminton association
This is a first of its kind programme being conducted in the field of badminton in the state of Odisha. Sambalpue Badminton Association would request all of you to kindly pay them a visit at your own convinience within December 1st to 20th. at Sambalpur Indoor Hall
We are positive that this programme will be a big step in identifying and grooming quality talent in Sambalpur district. The same model will be later emulated at block level too.
We hope this activity will be a benchmark for all other districts to follow and bring out local talent of the state to the fore.
