GUIDELINES

Now it is the time to start the season for 2018-19.

We congratulate our National players for their performance in Commonwealth Games at Goldcost.
Badminton in India is moving to the top in the world.

Now it is our commitment to take badminton in Odisha to a step ahead in the national scenario.

Ms Rutaparna Panda is moving in right direction to the top for a place in both doubles category.under the guidance of Mr Pulela Gopichand.,The chief National Coach

 we are very soon going to release the calendar for the coming year.


The players are hereby informed the following points to be noted for participation in any championships to be held in our state conducted by OSBA or approved by OSBA.
Pl renew/register your id for participation in the forthcoming championship to be held:-

1. Players are to be registered with Orissa State Badminton Association.

2. As per Badminton Association of India guidelines the players have to submit new format form for registration which can be downloaded from BAI site “
AGE CERTIFICATE FOR PLAYERS”.

3. As per Badminton Association of India guidelines the players below the age group of 19 years have to submit new format form for registration along with affidavit, copy of birth certificate and copy of matriculation certificate/ mark sheet of class studying if below matriculate. Any false declaration is a cognizable offence punishable under law.

The Regulations of BAI/OSBA for Proof of Age are as under:-

Ø  The eligibility of juniors and Veterans shall be supported by a ‘Certificate’ unless the ‘Date of Birth’ is registered with OSBA and is appearing in the approved list. Except birth certificate or education certificate no other mode of date of birth (like pan-card, driving licenses etc) as defined by Badminton Association of India is accepted

The following shall be the Guidelines for verification of the Date of Birth / Eligibility:-

Ø  When the Student has passed the High School / Matriculation examination, the proof of ‘Age’ shall be in form of the photocopy of the Certificate of Passing given by the High School / Matriculation Board containing the ‘Date of Birth’ duly self attested.

Ø  In case of Non-Matriculate Students, proof of ‘Age’ must be certified by the Principal or Head Master of the College or School to which the student belongs.

Ø  For uneducated Juniors, x-ray report for age determination test as per BAI competition regulations guidelines should be submitted along with registration form and  personal ‘Medical Examination’  will be undertaken on the recommendation of the Referee and the Tournament Committee during tournaments.

Ø  Performa of ‘Age Certificate’ must be correctly completed by the juniors who are Non- Matriculates with the necessary photo attached and all entries correctly signed as required.

Ø  For players up to U19yrs,  as per BAI guideline  personal ‘Medical Examination’  will be undertaken on the recommendation of the Referee and the Tournament Committee during tournaments for determination of age and if found any discrepancy they will be punishable.

Ø  Those registered (even having BAI ID's) and submitting for renewal have to give fresh documents as mentioned above if not submitted earlier.

Ø  At the time of giving entries, players have to give their respective State ID number.
 The fresh Registration/Renewal is to be sent through affiliated District associations along with   duly filled forms to State association. Otherwise the same will not be entertained.

Ø   Where there are no affiliated District associations, respective district players can apply for               registration/renewal by sending it directly to the State association on the address given below.

Ø  For players seeking to play having brought NOC's from their respective State associations should     follow BAI competition regulations guidelines (Representation 5.2.2):-

5.2.2 Has had his or her main residence in that state concerned for six months immediately preceding the reference date of the fixture. While determining the place of residence, a player who has shifted his main residence in different state due to transfer of job or education of the player or job of his parents, the player shall apply to OSBA  for special permission to determine the new place and waive the condition of six months of main residence in new city. Such representation shall be made within 15 days of such transfer of residence through new parent Affiliated Unit and copy to the earlier parent Affiliated Unit”

We have also decided to issue an id card with data.

Therefore we request all players to submit the pescribed forms as per BAI guidelines along with a fees of Rs200.00 in shape of DD in favour of 'ORISSA STATE BADMINTON ASSOCIATION' PAYABLE AT CUTTACK mentioning their old id no in the top of the form.Any incomplete forms with wroung data will not be accepteble and lead to rejection and debarred from registration.(e.g. incomplete postal address, pin-code, mobile number and district name)Any false data will invite punishable under law.The forms  should be sent toMr Kailash Ch.Pati,Treasurer  C/O Orissa State Badminton Association,Keonjhar Colony,Kanika Chhak,Cuttack-753008

Those junior players who have given Xray report they donot have to submit the fresh x ray report.
The renewal/registration should reach atleast  15days prior to any championship or else will not be elligible to participate in the championship. The registration/renewal may be delayed due to verification of paperworks with appropriate authorities. The id cards will be sent to players address by post (not by hand)and before participating players have to show the card to chief referee/organiser before championship.Therefore players are requested to give detail address with phone nos for delivery of cards by post.
All rae requested to cooperate with association for a transparent system of database.
Orissa State Badminton Association reserves right for registration/renewal of players.
