5th Nalini Kanta Mohanty Memorial State Ranking Open Badnton Tournament-2018”

Amateur Badminton Club, Bhubaneswar, is organising its 5th Nalini Kanta Mohanty Memorial State Ranking Open Badminton Tournament-2018” from From 22nd to 25^th November-2018 in the, EastCoast RailwayIndoor Stadium  Bhubaneswar.

ABC has been promoting the game of Badminton in one way or the other

This year also the tournament will be especially dedicated to Late Sri Nalini Kanta Mohanty, Ex-Hon’ble Minister of Works, Urban & Housing, who took keen interest for the development of the game of badminton. In fact, Badminton in Odisha took new heights during his patronage. He was instrumental in establishment of wooden court playing arenas in large numbers across the state. ABCians cherish the memoirs working closely with him for the growth and development of different sports in the State.  The details of events to be organised hereunder :

1. DATES OF THE TOURNAMENT: From 22nd to 25^th November-20181.1 The tournament will be organized as below:

Venue :East Cost Railway Indoor Stadium,Bhubaneswar

Organised by: Amature Badminton Club, Bhubaneswar

Players: Only registered players of Orissa State Badminton Association are elligible to participate. Without state ID the entries shall not be entertained.Pl go through the below technical detais for submitting the entries

Entry: Will be submitted online from 5^th to 18^th November, 2018 in ABC’s Website i.e. www.abcbbsr.com

Technical Instructions 

·         In Registration process there are two parts, one is Personal Details and another is Event Details. Participants are to be very careful for filing up of Personal Detail. OSBA ID is the key field. Another important field i.e. Mobile No. which cannot be changed once the registration is done. One Mobile Number should be used for one registration only. After filling up of personal details, a Tournament / Registration ID will be generated.This ID should be recorded for future reference.

·         In case of registering for Doubles Event, one has to first obtain a Tournament / Registration IDfor his partner as without partner’s registration, Entry for Doubles Event cannot be processed. Partner’s ID can be obtained following the same process followed by you to obtain your own ID. If the partner has already obtained an ID for his Singles Event, then this ID can be used for processing Doubles Event Entry.

·         In the Payment Mode, fill up the detailed of Payment slip and upload the scan copy of payment slip.

·         Confirmation Report will be generated after completion of payment process.

 Limitation: There should be minimum eight no entries for any event to be conducted.

1:2 Championship:

The championship will be conducted in two rounds i.e qualifying round and main draw in below categories

  1 Men's singles

2. Doubles
3. Junior boys (under19) singles

4.Junior boys (under19) doubles
5. Women’s  doubles
6. Under 17 boys singles and doubles

7. Under 17 girls singles
8. Under 15 boys singles
9. Women’s singles
10.Veteran doubles (45+)                   

1:3Qualifying Round: The following events will be conducted  in the qualifying rounds if the entries will exceed 24nos in any event. A player can take part maximum in two events. As per the decision taken by  the tournament committee, the following no. of players will be selected to the main draw of the championship.

 Singles:                           08nos.                     Doubles:                        04nos.

The players qualified in the qualifying round will participate in the main draw along with the list of players released by OSBA.

The players who are selected for maindraw may have the option to participate in other event have to play the qualifying round for the same event

2: The programs for  championship are as mentioned below:

2.1 All the players who like to participate in the tournament in any event  will mention their state ID during submission of entries. entry will be accepted without state id

The State ID to the players will be released on 15^th November, 2018 in the blog http://odishabadminton.blogspot.in/

Players shall check and confirm that their names are there in the  list or not .

3.2 The tournament will be organized in U15 , U17yrs& U19yrs  age groups  as per BAI guideline

3.3 No entry shall be accepted unless the player has been allotted a Player ID and has submitted the age proof as per the BAI Competition Regulations.

3.4 At the close of entries, the Tournament committee will provide with the list of participants.

3.5 Once the entries are duly verified by the secretary, the complete list in a computer file(MS Excel File) shall be sent to Tournament committee. OSBA will release the list of seeded players as per OSBA Ranking.

3.6 Once approved, the list of participants in order of strength will be displayed in the http://odishabadminton.blogspot.in/. It shall be the responsibility of the players to ensure that allthe entries send by them appear in the M & Q List. After the Last Date for withdrawals without penalty, no complaints shall be entered for miss out of any entry. The OSBA/Organiser is not responsible for any omissions or correction of names.

3:7 After fixture released any player withdrawing from any event or giving walkover shall be scratched from other event  and have to pay Rs.1000.00 as penalty to OSBA

4 PROTEST

4.1 Theprotest of any kind will have to accompanied by a protest fee of Rs1000.00 .Protest has to made before the match or within onehour of the completion of the match and shall be addressed to the Secretary in writing

5. ENTRY FEES:

5.1 The  entry fees that can be collected from players shall be:

Singles event all category	Rs.400 per player
Doubles event all category	Rs.800 per pair

The Entry and  fees may be sent to  ABC as per the technical information given above. For Entry and further information if any can be get from website www.abcbbsr.com

6.Accomadation:

6.1. Accomodation & food  will be notified afterward and may be confirmed by contacting the Organiser

7.Rights to amend.

7.1Association reserves right for any changes in championship  rules &regulations/ schedule etc without assigning any reason.
