PRESS RELEASE NOTE:

It is matter of great pride that Orissa State Badminton Association after a long spell of twelve years is going to host the East Zone Inter State Badminton Championship Tournament at the monumental Indoor Stadium of millennium city of Cuttack from 31^st August to 2^nd September 2012.,

      Six states such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha are participating in this mega event. More than 120 state level players both in Women & Men events are going to play in the tournament. Furthermore, 10 officials of Badminton Association of India (BAI), 6 Team Managers and Coach along with more than 40 local management Officials and Volunteers are also converging to make the Tournament a grand success.

      In this context, the Organizing Committee convened a meeting on 29^th July 2012 at 6:00 PM in the OOA Conference Hall under the patronage of Mr. Asirbad Behera, Secretary, Odisha Olympic Association & Odisha Cricket Association. Mr. Prabahat Palit, Chairman, Organizing Committee discussed all aspects regarding smooth management of the forthcoming East Zone Tournament. Mr. Pradip Mohanty, Secretary presented the budget and formed various Committees with the consent of the Members present. Accordingly, the following members were opted to head various committees::
